Indeed. I'm looking forward to it. I'm very interested in using libzdb for my project (www.dbmail.org) esp. because of the connectionpool feature. Afaik zdb is quite unique there.
Also, though libdbi and opendbx cover more backends, zdb's design and coding style 'smell' so much better. Only thing that could spoil the party are the restrictions in the licence :-(
