M/Monit now supports monitoring of network interfaces (requires Monit 5.11 which was released today). Such as if the interface is up or down, link capacity changes, link saturation, current upload and download bandwidth usage and total data transfers within the last 24 hours. Here are some slides showing the highlights, http://mmonit.com/monit/reveal.js/#/25 (use right keyboard arrow to navigate).

M/Monit 3.3, released on Friday unfortunately had a javascript bug in the status page which would hide one host in the host table. This is fixed as of Sunday 2. November 23:00 CET and does not affect new downloads of M/Monit 3.3 from http://mmonit.com/download/
If you have downloaded M/Monit 3.3 before Sunday, Nov 2, please save http://mmonit.com/dist/patch/3.3/status.js as mmonit-3.3/docroot/assets/status/status.js replacing the original status.js file which will fix the problem.
With apologises and best regards from the M/Monit team

Performance optimizations: M/Monit should now in theory be able to scale very well even on humble hardware. The User Interface is also improved with regards to performance. In particular, admin/alert and admin/host groups. This is a rather big internal refactoring and we would be interested in any feedback.

Hi, all!
We have just released Monit 5.8 and also updated Monit’s web-pages. The new web-page contains a slide-show at the top, showing off some of Monit’s highlights. We hope you will like it.
If you ever need to do a Monit presentation yourself, for instance, for your team, you are welcome to fork, modify and use the slide-show as you want. We have also cleaned up and simplified the Monit manual.
Please visit http://mmonit.com/monit/ to download the new Monit release.

M/Monit status:

We are currently working on a new 3.1.3 release of M/Monit which should improve scalability and address reports we have received about (database) lock problems. We are also working on M/Monit 4.0 which will include agent-less and database monitoring as well as more detailed role support and inventory.
Best regards from the Monit team
