AssertException in OraclePreparedStatement_getLastError()

Hello. I have dbmail-imapd crashed with: > Jan 20 04:25:17 um1 dbmail/imap4d[24111]: EMERGENCY:[libzdb] TabortHandler(+43): AssertException: 0x0x3db0e15950 > raised in OraclePreparedStatement_getLastError at src/db/oracle/OraclePreparedStatement.c:257 Which seems to be triggered by assert() in OraclePreparedStatement_getLastError(): > 251 /* This is a general error function also used in OracleResultSet */ > 252 const char *OraclePreparedStatement_getLastError(int err, OCIError *errhp) { > 253 sb4 errcode; > 254 char* erb; > 255 pthread_once(&error_msg_key_once, error_msg_key_alloc); > 256 erb = get_err_buffer(); > 257 assert(erb); I do not have any steps to reproduce the issue unfortunately, but maybe you can give me a nudge into a right investigation direction (I am investigating why get_err_buffer() returned NULL). How to directly get the record number from the query results?

Sorry to bother you

Dear sir: So sorry to bother you. I am working in a techology company now, and i am in a project which needs to be connected with serveal database. The work have been done well by using the libzdb. But i meet a question when i try to call a function(or store procedure) defiend by myself, which i mean i'd like to find a function like SetProcSQL() in the OCCI that connect ORACLE. Although I have read the documentation, i did not find the examples how to implement it . So can you tell me does any function which can implement it? Thank you for youtr time, maybe i didn't make myself clear for my poor English.I looking for your repley. Best wish. Ethan Chen

libzdb : Missing 64-bit support Error

Hi there, We are using Libzdb database library version 2.8.1 in our iOS application; now we are trying to upload the application using App Loader to iTunes store; we have got following error; 'Missing 64-bit support - Beginning on February 1, 2015 new iOS apps submitted to the App Store must include 64-bit support and be built with the iOS 8 SDK. Beginning June 1, 2015 app updates will also need to follow the same requirements. To enable 64-bit in your project, we recommend using the default Xcode build setting of "Standard architectures" to build a single binary with both 32-bit and 64-bit code' Following are our project settings; The error message suggested to add 'standard Architecture' to enable 64-bit support in application; upon setting 'arm64' value for 'valid architecture' in project setting; application is displaying following error Undefined symbols for architecture arm64: "_ResultSet_getDouble", referenced from: _getInvProductsFromDB in .o" ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture arm64 clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation) We are getting undefined symbol error for every API call of libzdb library; Could you please guide us to build the library for default Xcode setting of standard architecture(arm64, arm7,armv7s)? SQL query timeout for OracleConnection

Hello. I've noticed query timeout for Oracle connections is a stub, seems like OCI API does not provide a way to limit query execution out-of-box. Yet I am trying to workaround the blocked (server-side) connections issue with DBMail and setQueryTimeout() seems to be a good tool for that. So far I came up with a thread-based solution: 1. a dedicated thread is created for every db connection; 2. thread acts like a watchdog: for every started query it counts down from TIMEOUT value to zero; 3. if query execution is finished the counter is reset and thread idles; 4. if counter reaches 0 the thread calls OCIBreak(). I'd like to know your vision on the solution and reasons why query timeouts are not implemented for Oracle backend before I start the development and publish the patch. Multiple database connection pool problem

Hello, I am using libzdb for database connection pool from a C++ program . Till now I was making only one database connection pool through libzdb and was working perfect . Now I need to make multiple database connection pools , I tried making this , but it consider only one connection pool and fetch the data from only one database . I found that Multiple database connection is possible through libzdb , somehow I am not able to do that . Any help will be appriciated. Thank You,Ravi

Undefined reference errors

Hello, I am trying to link libzdb on Ubuntu with Code Blocks v13. I am facing following errors: obj/Release/SERVER/DBConnection/zdb_connection/cstzdbresultset.o: In function `CSTZDBResultSet::is_null(unsigned int) const': /home/bsr/work/Development/source_cs_server/SOURCE/SERVER/DBConnection/zdb_connection/cstzdbresultset.cpp:15: undefined reference to `ResultSet_isnull(ResultSet_S*, int)' /home/bsr/work/Development/source_cs_server/SOURCE/SERVER/DBConnection/zdb_connection/cstzdbresultset.cpp:18: undefined reference to `Exception_throw(Exception_T const*, char const*, char const*, int, char const*, ...)' Same problem is seen with all the symbols in the ResultSet.c. I have followed the instructions to build the library and is installed in /usr/local/lib. However, I am not seeing the same with Connection class and some of the exception macros. Please suggest me how to fix this problem. CLOB-columns in Oracle DBs always return 'null'.

Hi, It seems like libzdb (probaly) won't handle CLOBs in Oracle DBs very well. When selecting a CLOB directly nothing but the value 'null' is returned, when typecasting the CLOB to ex. VARCHAR2 it works perfectly. The same problem occurs when inserting data to a CLOB. Tests for Oracle also fails because of this. I've tried libzdb 2.8, 2.12 and 3.0, the same problem occurs in all three. This happens with Oracle Instant Client 11,1 11,2 and 12,1. Has anyone else encountered this? Is it a bug in libzdb or Instant Client? Thank you very much! Regards, Mats Christensen
