Libzdb 3.0 beta

Happy new year! We been working on a new libzdb 3.0 release which include some new useful features. Most notable support for Date, Time and timestamp. This release includes a lot of changes so we wanted to release this as a beta version/release candidate first. If you can, please help us test. PreparedStatement_setTimestamp for setting Unix timestamp. * New: ResultSet_isnull, can be used to explicit test if a column value in a Result Set is SQL null. A Result Set already returns the NULL pointer for string and blob types and 0 for primitive data types, but to differ between SQL null and the value NULL or 0, this method can be used. * New: PreparedStatement_getParameterCount, Returns the number of parameters in a prepared statement * New: It is now a checked runtime error for the url parameter given in ConnectionPool_new() to be NULL. * New: No longer require flex installed as the generated file is part of the dist. * Fixes: Oracle: Fixed a memory corruption in OracleResultSet https://github.com/tildeslash/libzdb/issues/4 Best regards -- Jan-Henrik Haukeland

Hi, I have a request for a bit particular: Can I have libzdb.dylib already compiled for use in a xcode project (iphone or iPad prj) to connect to an Oracle DB and then execute a Select command. Sorry for the strange request but I have no familiarity with compilers. Thanks for everything. (If needed I can pay the bother) Or can you tell me where and how I can buy it. Best Regards.

MSSQL and Sybase with libzdb

Hi, I was wondering as to why the support for MSSQL and Sybase is not added via a freetds library ? This will make libzdb complete pool library with mostly used databases being supported . Thanks, Abhay

MySQL Cluster with dbmail, Possible?

Hi All, I'm new to dbamil with libzdb but it works great in the first setup. Is it possible with libzdb to connect to a pool of MySQL servers which are all master using an array in some config anywhere ? I hope someone can help out. Thanks! Cheers, Matt

I tried to install mysql-server both from apt-get and using the generic binaries. I have installed the mysql-client too, using "apt-get install mysql-client". Hello, I have downloaded and am trying to build libzdb 2.12 on an ubuntu 12.04 64bit system. leak possible in try/catch/finally pattern?

Jan-Henrik, I'm getting reports of small leakage when I follow this pattern: c = ConnectionPool_getConnection(pool); TRY // prepare and bind and execute statement, or // run or execute a query, with or without transactions CATCH(SQLException) // log exception // set volatile boolean result flag FINALLY Connection_close(c); END_TRY; The try/accept block varies; but in all cases the connection leaks. I'm attaching a stripped valgrind log which was posted to my bug-tracker.
